Climate Change Summary Reports Available for Parks and Refuges

SNAP has produced reports detailing climate change projections for National Parks, Preserve, and Monuments statewide. These climate summary reports describe potential future temperature and precipitation for 2040 and 2080, as compared to historical values, based on 1961-1990 climatology.

SNAP Maps Now Available in Google Earth

Selected SNAP statewide climate maps are now available in Google Earth format. Google Earth -- which is available for free download from http://earth.google.com/ -- allows for quick and easy interactive access to high-resolution maps.

SNAP climate data in ASCII format are now available for download from this site! Temperature and precipitation data (representing the A1B mid-range climate scenario as defined by the International Panel on Climate Change) are available for each of the five Global Circulation Models that SNAP uses for climate projections.
