USGS Land Cover Change Study
submitted Jul 10, 2009
The US Geological Survey and SNAP are working together to predict generalized changes in land cover over time, and relate those changes to habitat suitability indices for specific key trust species within selected DOI lands in Alaska.
Specific tasks include utilizing SNAP data and downscaling procedures to:
1. Identify the types of relevant quantitative and qualitative information needed for predicting land cover change
2. Investigate appropriate model or models to use
3. Help in the selection of a pilot area for initial products
