Data Manager and Analyst

Amy Macpherson is a Certified Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP). She serves as Data Manager and Analyst for SNAP and the Alaska Climate Adaptation Science Center. She also assists with metadata creation and maintenance, and in keeping data organized and accessible for all users.

After obtaining her MSc in Geography at the Mid-America Remote Sensing Center at Murray State University, Amy employed her GIS and data management skills in Kentucky, Singapore, and now Alaska, where she has lived for the last six years. She previously worked as the Senior GIS Analyst for an Alaska utility cooperative and for the Alaska Earthquake Center, modeling pedestrian evacuation from tsunami inundation. She has worked in the public, private and academic spheres all around the world and enjoys collaborating with others to successfully manage and complete projects.

When not in the office, you can probably find her outside enjoying Alaska.
